Welcome to Quinta de Carcavelos
Quinta de Carcavelos was builted in 1717. This old farm has two distinguished houses: the main one and the support one.
Both houses are made of stone, the material used in the 17th. Century to build in this part of the country.
Quinta de Carcavelos is situated between two hillsides and look out towards mountains.
Just a three minutes walking there is a café, a restaurant and a super-market.
In this area, there is roman architecture, with church’s and monastery. Interesting places to visit.
By car, and about 10 minutes, there is Amarante, a very nice and peaceful city, where there are some spectaculars cakes and amazing restaurants.
Very particular and popular shops are founded also in the city.
From Amarante to Oporto, it takes about 35 minutes, by car. By train, is a fancy travel, with nice views.
Amarante Golf is just about 10 minutes by car, with a very nice course.
River Douro is just a few miles from Quinta de Carcavelos.
